Backhausdance Summer Intensives provide an array of diverse training programs for aspiring artists and working professionals. Held in the state-of-the-art dance facilities on the campus of Chapman University, the intensives support the technical growth and artistic development of the contemporary dancer. Participants have the unique opportunity to study with Artistic Director Jennifer Backhaus, Backhausdance current and former company members, and a diverse roster of esteemed educators and choreographers from around the world. Intensive participants are invited to perform in a fully-produced concert alongside the professional company at the end of the program.
Backhausdance will present an engaging, athletic and entertaining outdoor performance for the community to enjoy. In addition to two repertory works, this critically-acclaimed Orange County contemporary dance company will introduce a new dance specifically created for the Civic Center venue by Artistic Director Jennifer Backhaus.
